Philosophy Of Nursing

Nursing plays a vital and significant role in the healthcare delivery system. It aligns with national health goals and is committed to supporting the implementation of national health policies and programs. The primary objective is to identify the health needs of the people, plan, and provide quality care in collaboration with other healthcare professionals and community groups.

A comprehensive and holistic approach to nursing care is grounded in nursing theories and practices. Providing adequate facilities will encourage creative thinking and self-directed learning for both students and faculty. Developing critical thinking skills, competencies, and the standards required for the practice of professional nursing and midwifery is essential in equipping nursing students to deliver high-quality care.

Professional education in nursing is an ongoing process, built upon concepts of nursing practice and supported by education at various levels. Nursing addresses preventive, promotive, and curative services across the lifespan of individuals in a variety of healthcare settings. Promoting a scientific research mindset is crucial to addressing the current challenges within the nursing profession. By fostering the development of efficient nurse leaders, educators, and practitioners through higher education, we promote quality nursing care.

The program supports the personal and professional growth of both students and faculty. Teachers are responsible for being role models, creating a learning environment that fosters inquiry, self-directed learning, and a commitment to lifelong learning. The undergraduate nursing education program prepares students to become exemplary citizens by adhering to a code of ethics and professional conduct, fulfilling personal, social, and professional obligations in alignment with national aspirations to meet societal needs.

Patient Attendants

Patients in special wards are allowed one attendant with a pass, which is provided at the time of admission. Security personnel will check all entry points and conduct random checks to prevent unauthorized persons from loitering in the hospital. We request your cooperation with the security staff.

Patients in general and semi-special wards are permitted one attendant with a pass only during visiting hours. If a patient is transferred to the intensive care unit (ICU), the room or bed previously occupied must be vacated and cannot be used by the attendant.

Linen

It is mandatory for patients to wear hospital uniforms. The hospital provides clean, washed linen to all patients. Bed and bath linen are provided to every patient, and we encourage attendants to use the linen provided by the hospital. Please avoid bringing outside linen, as it may pose a risk of infection. For any additional linen requirements, kindly contact the nursing staff in the ward.

Housekeeping

The Housekeeping Department is responsible for maintaining cleanliness within the hospital and its premises. We kindly request patients and attendants to cooperate in ensuring that the hospital remains clean and well-maintained at all times.
