INTRODUCTION:
The Department of Biochemistry is well equipped with fully automated Biochemistry analyser (BS 300) and a standby autoanalyser Respons 910. The department has separate analyser for the estimation of serum electrolytes and an analyser exclusively for HbA1c.
The department is well equipped to carry out all biochemical investigations like Diabetic Profile, Liver Function Test, Renal Function Test, serum electrolytes, HbA1c etc. Extensive quality control programme is carried out usingCMC Vellore as external control on a monthly basis to ensure the accuracy of reports.Internal quality controls are run periodically using controls provided by Diaysis. All special investigations like Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Iron profile, Thyroid function tests etc are outsourced to clumax as per MOU.
Microbiology laboratory is well equipped with Biosafety cabinet, automated blood culture and identification system, ELISA washer and reader, Serum protein analyser etc. To perform culture and sensitivity testing, serological tests, staining methods, ELISA tests, Surveillance culture etc. To deliver grality Microbiology services. The department has enrolled in external gnality control programme conducted by CMC Vellore, which is done 4 times a year on basis to ensume the report. Internal gnality control artery are done routinely in the lab on weekly and monthly basis.
